TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

I am a student in the Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech program at Diagnostic Medical Institute in Fort Worth, TX. My instructor is Dr. Mum Farash. Our classroom instruction started in December, 2011 and we are wrapping up the classroom portion, practicing actual scanning two days a week, and will begin our internships in another two weeks. I would like to state that I am fully satisfied with Dr. Farash's course of study, qualifications, teaching methods and overall preparation to go into the field.

At the beginning of this class, we were provided with a very detailed description of the curriculum to be followed and periodically Dr. Farash revisits that outline to make sure we understand the direction in which we are headed. Dr. Farash clearly states objectives and uses a variety of tools and methods to deliver instruction. Notes are given succinctly and meticulously with numerous graphic illustrations throughout the instruction time. She allows ample time for questions and closely monitors student understanding by informal oral quizzing in a non-threatening environment. In addition, all assignments are begun during class time (and finished at home), which allows her to correct any misguided attempts or misunderstanding of concepts by the students. Dr. Farash's multifaceted approach facilitates learning by everyone in the class as all learning styles are accommodated. Additionally, the strategic use of video footage to quickly cement concepts discussed is particularly helpful to her students.

As we have begun our actual scanning practice, Dr. Farash works to provide extra practice time on each new concept introduced. We are given methodical step-by-step instruction as we practice each part of the echo scanning procedure. I feel Dr. Farash goes the extra mile in helping her students achieve success in the field. She is in constant contact with former students, whether helping them to brush up on scanning technique, applying to sit for registry exams, or with general employment questions. I am certain she will continue to provide that support to our class as well.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if further elaboration is required.

 Sincerely,

Dear Dr. Farash and future CVT Students,

I am proud to be graduating from Diagnostic Medical Institute, as the time is nearing the end of our studies. I have attended many schools, business, trade and colleges including Sanford Brown for their MA program. There are very few teachers that are as dedicated and patient to help the students really learn the material. I very much appreciate the style of teaching, with lectures, visual drawings, writing essay questions, and answering oral questions. I feel that I am learning the material, as well as preparing to go in the work force. Dr. Farash your experience is very valuable, and I have enjoyed the in-depth teaching in Cardio Vascular classes.

I highly recommend this CVT program. I looked into going to other schools, and am very glad I chose to go to DMI. I like the small class size, the attention to what we are being taught and making sure we as students know the material, and using different methods to help us learn how we can detect disease, deformities and cardio issues that may save a patient's life. I look forward to putting this new knowledge and skill to use in the hospital that has been arranged for my internship, and later on the job as a cardio vascular technician.

Dr. Farash, I thank you for your dedication, training and mentoring that is helping me achieve my goal. May God bless you for the time and sacrifices you have given to DMI, and its' students.

Sincerely,

Lourene Morris

Dear interested CVT Students,

I am a student of Diagnostic Medical Institute. I chose this school because it was recommended to me by a graduate of DMI, who works in the same hospital as I do. I was already working in the medical field as a MA and wanted to further my education. My co worker specializing in the Cardiac area to help people with heart defects, disease, as well as healthy heart was very happy with her career and with DMI. By watching her scan and learning about the CVT field I became very interested in also becoming a Cardio Vascular Technician.

I am very happy with my choice in going to Diagnostic Medical Institute. Dr Farash uses different techniques to help us learn, and remember what we need to know to be excellent Cardio Vascular Technicians. The lectures are excellent and focus on main points we need to learn. Our anatomy drawings and labeling have made identifying all parts of the heart an easy way to learn. Oral questions train us to have confidence in the work place. Essay questions show what we have really learned and help us study. The small class helps our teacher make sure each of us is learning and applying what we have learned.

We also watch videos of CVT scans and learn to identify parts of the heart, disease and the various views and how to measure and calculate for a CVT scan. We have begun scanning and our Cardio Vascular Teacher, Professional in the field. He is patient and an excellent teacher also.

Dr. Farash has worked hard to create a school that will put out professional Cardio Vascular Technicians, and if you follow her teachings, and apply yourself you will succeed, like many of her other students who are working in hospitals, doctor offices or running CVT businesses of their own.

Sincerely,

Ruma Rahman

To Whom It May Concern,

I am taking the Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program at Diagnostic Medical Institute with Dr. Mumtaz Farash. So far my experience has been extremely satisfying. Her teaching methods are precise and understandable.

Dr. Farash takes into consideration that different students learn by different methods, such as visual aids, lectures, and asking questions. My experience with learning is that I grasp concepts better with visual aids. For example, drawing the structures of the heart helps me understand where the structures are located.

Dr. Farash will ask questions after her lectures to ensure that the students understand what she has taught. This is very useful because it will build confidence for the student on the subject

I would recommend the program taught by Dr. Farash because she takes a great interest in her students to succeed.

Sincerely,

Sandra Huerta

I have really enjoyed being a student at the Diagnostic Medical Center . I feel my education was worth every dime. I have learned a lot from Dr Farash's  method of teaching. She really takes pride in what she teaches and she take the time to make sure all her students comprehend all that were covered that makes her an excellent instructor. I am very grateful for her passing on her knowledge to me and helping me with one on one basics when I needed it .

Thank you again ,
